Digital learning · TGC DOJO
Live now · The qualification-to-competence platformA space to practise. An environment to master.
An interactive learning and practice environment that builds job-ready capability through structured learning journeys, practical challenges, real-world scenarios and continuous skill development. In South Africa, DOJO runs QCTO occupational qualifications end to end on one licensed platform: learning journeys, hands-on ICT sandboxes, gamified challenges, practical assessment and evidence, competency ranks and certification.
From knowing to doing
DOJO takes learners beyond content consumption, with opportunities to practise, apply and strengthen their capabilities. Structured learning, interactive activities and practical challenges build confidence and the ability to perform in real-world situations, whether you are supporting new employees, strengthening frontline capabilities or developing specific workplace skills.
Don't just learn it. Practise it. Master it.
The platform
Built around the QCTO model of knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience, then finished with external assessment.
Every QCTO module, topic and criterion laid out as a journey, with the next best step always in view.
A private Linux workspace in the browser with real tools and simulated business systems. No installs, no internet risk.
Practical skills become quests with clear tasks, evidence and XP, so practice feels like progress.
Criterion-by-criterion assessment, moderation, workplace logbooks and a portfolio of evidence ready for audit.
Belts that track real competence, badges for milestones and cohort leaderboards that keep learners moving.
External summative assessment with identity checks, statements of results and certificates anyone can verify online.
Built to keep learners going · DOJO Rank
Belts follow real, assessed competence. Around them, a game layer rewards the habits that get learners there. Try the habits below (a playful demo; on DOJO, belts are set by assessed competence).
XP and badges: points for passing tests, handing in evidence, competent results, signed logbook entries and time in the lab. Badges mark milestones, and one stays a mystery until it is earned.
Streaks and weekly challenges: a weekly streak and one new challenge every Monday keep learners coming back, a little at a time.
Leaderboards and fair penalties: cohort leaderboards for this week and all time, with an opt-out. A few habits cost XP, but never results or rank.
Built for everyone in the qualification chain
Deliver occupational qualifications with the sandboxes and simulation systems accreditation asks for. Assessors, moderators and workplace supervisors work in one place, and every portfolio is audit-ready.
Upskill teams on a recognised qualification with practice in safe, isolated environments and clear reports on who is competent, who is stuck and why. Build learning experiences that encourage participation, application and measurable progress.
Run external integrated summative assessments on DOJO, with identity checks, an invigilation console, a knowledge paper and a sandbox practical, then generate results reports. Your centre conducts and certifies the EISA; TGC provides the platform.
Create structured practice environments that complement formal training programmes, so employees strengthen their skills through continued application.
How DOJO can be used
Help new employees understand their roles, learn essential processes and build confidence before working independently. Structured practice and scenarios bridge induction and on-the-job performance.
Practical challenges and application-based learning reinforce processes, service standards, product knowledge and operational practices that people apply every day.
Ongoing practice, periodic challenges and reinforcement keep capabilities relevant, surface improvement areas and build stronger habits over time.
